Cedarleaf moved to the kit and gently nudged it, purring softly.

Specklekit, the young one in question, squeaked and turned to face her. "Oh, h-hi Cedarleaf." He stammered. The litter was four moons old, not far away from apprenticeship.

"Shouldn't you be sleeping?" She asked with a soft chuckle, her tail flicking as she sat.

"I guess so." He sighed, padding up to her and purring softly as he rubbed his head on her forepaw. "But I wanted to make herbs for Applekit because she said her stomach hurts." He flicked his tail to one of his littermates. "And mommy said that you tore up leaves and gave them to her to make her feel better once, so I want to do it too!" He beamed proudly.

Cedarleaf chuckled softly, "How about you let me know when someone doesn't feel right and you send them to me? There are certain herbs that need to be given to a cat with an upset stomach" She mewed gently and purred.

"Ok, Cedarleaf!" Specklekit mewled. He yawned and stretched out, clearly growing more and more tired by the heartbeat.

Cedar smiled and she walked from the nursery, she checked on the elders then went back to her den, yawning loudly and laying down, about to fall asleep.

There was the sound of the sliding of rocks from the slope that led to Flamestar's den, indicating the leader had woken up and was descending into the canp

"Just out to the Sootclan border." Flamestar mewed softly, brushing his tail down her back. "I need to decide what I'm going to do tomorrow night when Smokestar accuses us of trespassing on their territory."

"The clan is entitled to the herbs in their territory." Flamestar mewed in reply. "If only Leaffall wasn't so temperamental... We wouldn't have this issue in the first place." He grolwed softly, continuing to stroke her with his tail, the action helping him to keep calm.

She rolled her eyes, "I've had the blunt from Leaffall for the longest time, all I got when I went to become medicine cat was attitude and I nearly attacked Leaffall" She grumbled.

"Specklekit" She answered with a soft purr, "I went to check on them and Specklekit was the only one awake, ripping up leaves like I do for when cats have upset stomachs" She chuckled.
