Darkeye jerked and began gurgling, blood sputtering out of his mouth.

Coldly, she back up and turned her head away. Without glancing back, she walked back to camp, shaking from head to tail at the thought of the cat she had just killed.

Darkeye faided away slowly, bleeding out.

Running into camp, she sought out her mate, already feeling the need to confess to someone what she had done, and if it had been the right thing to do.

Twoface was laying with the elders and they were all chatting and laughing to themselves.

She padded up to him and jabbed his side hard with her forepaw to get his attention, specks of blood still visible on it. "Twoface, I need to talk to you," she hissed.

Twoface jerked and he turned his head to hear her better, "Okay okay, you don't need to get mad, I haven't done anything as far as I know" He huffed and stood, the elders chuckled and he swatted at one playfully.

She couldn't bring herself to join the laughter at his playfulness. Grabbing his tail between her teeth, she drug him backwards and nudged him away from the group to a quiet spot in camp.

"What's wrong with you Fireblaze? You don't need to be rough" He hissed lightly, his ear back.

"I killed him today," she said bluntly, assuming he'd know who she was talking about.

"I told you not to go find him" He growled, his tail lashing and his fur standing on end, "He could have killed you" He snapped.

She snorted and glared at her mate. "Yeah, and he could've ended up killing our kit. I did the right thing, didn't I?"

"You should have told the patrol looking for him where he was if you knew" He snapped, growling deeply.

She heard his deep growl and flinched away. "I couldn't trust the patrol to actually kill him!" she argued.

"They were ready to kill him!" He snapped, his claws angrily flexing, "But you had to go and do it yourself!" He growled, "What? Did he let you kill him because you let him fuck you again!?" He snarled.

She shrunk back, drawing up into a protective crouch against his anger. "N..no, we didn't do anything like that. I thought I was doing the right thing," she whimpered, feeling truly terrified of Twoface.

He turned and sighed, his head low, "I told you that you should have let them do it... If you had gotten hurt...." He murmured quietly, his anger quickly disappearing, "All because I couldn't protect you... All because I'm useless..." He growled at himself.

"No, that's not true!" she instantly interrupted, stepping closer to him and nuzzling him. "It's my fault. I'm sorry. You've been so good to me, and you're not useless." She lifted a foreleg and hugged him by wrapping it around her neck and holding him close. "I'm sorry I was so stupid."

Twoface sighed, his ear pinned back and he nuzzled her back, "Sorry I got so mad..." he mumbled.

"It's not your fault," she murmured, and kissing his neck. "But you don't hate me, do you? For murdering him?"

"No bone in my body can hate you" He murmured.

[FireBlaze]

She smiled and groomed his neck now. "You're the best tom any she-cat could ever ask for. You know that, right?"

"I know" He chuckled softly.

She went lower to his chest, licking slowly and at all his favorite spots. She didn't care who saw, she just wanted to be close to Twoface.

He shuttered when she licked his sensitive spots and he purred loudly.
