"Oh, no?" Rex grinned as he climbed onto the fine saddle. "What do you say we give the capital a little flyby?" He grinned. "Maybe go interrupt my brother's portrait paintings."

"We could... Master" She purred softly, giving a small bow of her head before she rose off the ground, beginning to walk out of the castle, as she walked the straps of the saddle began tightening to her size and straps went around him to keep him in the saddle.

"Infused with magic as well." Rex shook his head. "A peasant could retire a very wealthy man if they came into possession of this. It's a shame for them that it's yours, and you're mine." He smirked, using the straps to gently guide her in the right direction.

"Sorry, it's just..." He started to apologize. "I read legends about dragon riders, saw plays where you could see the wires on the wings... But now I am one!"

She chuckled, "My old master was the same, he got used to it after I let him drop out of the saddle and caught him seconds before he hit the ground" She laughed, nearing his castle, smirking as she listened to the villagers screaming and yelling.

Rex shouted and waved down to his people as they swept over the city. The mentally slower and the more elderly of the residents were the first to realize that this dragon was not here to kill them- in fact, the prince was controlling it!

WhiteNova gave a booming roar as she soared down and landed in the yard of the castle, "Hey! There's that cow I dropped!" She gave a purring sound and began walking towards the body of the cow, her wings beginning to fold.

"Indeed." Rex chuckled. The various doors on that side of the keep opened, the king, the other two princes, and an assortment of armed royal guards came spilling out, aiming their weapons at the dragon. "Father, Dorin, Logi, no! I've tamed her!" He shouted out to his relatives. After a few tense seconds, the King ordered the guard to lower their weapons and strode up to Rex and WhiteNova.

The dragoness was about to grab the cow carcass before she reared up and snarled, her tail lashing and slamming against the ground, she gave a deep hiss toward the guard, the gold scales on her head shining from the light of the sun, WhiteNova growled lowly and took a few uneasy steps, she hated being surrounded the way that she was, which caused her to rear up on her back legs again and spread her wings in attempts to make the guards back off.

The guards all backed off, frightened by the raw display of her power. "WhiteNova, calm down! They won't fire as long as their King is here at our side."

The dragoness lowered back down and she gave a hiss from her chest, lowering to her stomach as the fittings around the Prince loosened so he could dismount if he wished.

Rex threw his leg over her back and sat sideways in the saddle, beaming proudly as the king and the other two princes cautiously approached, their weapons sheathed but ready for action in a split second.

WhiteNova snorted and her head rose from the ground, her neck stretched and she snatched the cow carcass, purring loudly and beginning to eat, as if not noticing all the men around.

"This hardly looks like control to me, father." One of the princes growled into the king's ear.

"What, exactly, were the terms of this agreement?" The King asked cautiously.

"I believe I'm meant to keep them between us, father." Rex replied, stroking her scales as she ate.

The dragoness gave a growl as she listened to them talk, then she gave a sly grin, her bloodied fangs showing as her tail slithered along the ground, slipping around the legs of one of Rex's brothers and tightening, lifting the prince into the air and holding him upside down.

She gave a snort and let him drop onto his feet, her tail lashed and she went back to eating, her tail curled around herself and she stretched one of her wings out, providing shade for Rex.

Rex reclined in a relaxed fashion under the shade, a goofy grin stretched across his face. By now, the rest of the town was beginning to migrate into the keep to see the dragon with their own eyes. "you seem to be popular." Rex noted, chuckling as a few young dragon anthros walked up, gently touching her side.
