Just before it rounded the corner, the large Dino seemed to turn around, it's tail sweeping around into Keva's sight.

Rocks tumbled down from the hill above and into Keva's spot, as if something was running down towards her.

Sliding into her hiding spot came a face she hadn't seen in a while. "Keva!" Came the familiar voice, though it was strained and quiet, the man clearly frightened of the creature as well.

Keva looked at the man with wide terrified eyes, trembling heavily, she immediately latched onto him in a hug, mostly in attempts to calm herself down, if that was even possible.

He only let her hold on for a split second before gently pushing her away. "We can't stay here, follow me." Charles dashed out from behind the Rock, heading back up the hill.

Appearing to have heard the falling rocks, a tyrannosaurus peeked around the corner, roaring with force as he maneuvered his way towards the running pair.

"Not right now, Keva!" Charles gasped irritably his asthma acting up at the worst possible time. "Get up the slope, it's too steep for him!"

Keva made her way up the slope and she panted, stopping far enough away from the edge and she watched him.

Charles clambered up to the top and watched as the beast below then snapped hungrily, roaring with frustration as it was unable to reach Keva.

He held up his finger and looked at her breathlessly, his cheeks flushing. "Follow me." He finally managed to gasp, crawling over a massive tree root and heading back into the forest.

A path was cut out of the foliage, presumably by Charles, and he followed it as it snaked between the trees.

Keva followed close behind Charles, she kept looking behind them to make sure nothing followed them.

Charles finally came up to a tree with several branches and hammered-in planks sticking out of it, which he began to climb.

Up high in the tree, safe in the canopy, was a platform built into the tree, basically a treehouse. The interior was about the size of a four person tent, and a balcony of sorts wrapped all the way around it.
