He held her and eventually fell asleep, though the night, his swollen leg became a dark blue-black as little blood flowed through the veins.

She woke up early the next morning and jumped, seeing how bad his leg was. "Shit..." she muttered, calling up an ambulance.

When the doctor moved his leg one way, he jumped up and punched him square in the jaw, Harvey's way of expressing his pain.

The doctor stumbled back, rubbing his jaw and grabbing an icepack. Juliette managed to push her way through and sit down on the foot of his gurney, holding one of his hands gently.
